Confirmation is a special service where people (young or old) reaffirm the vows and promises that were made at the Baptism. We have a Confirmation Service once each year, led by the Bishop, which normally takes place around November.
Prior to the service all the Candidates will go through a time of preparation where they can learn a little more about the Christian faith and what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. These sessions are quite informal and allow an opportunity for people to explore the possibility of them being Confirmed and to see if it is ‘right for them’ before actually committing to it.
The Confirmation Service for our North Meols Deanery will be held at The Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool at 7.30pm on Monday 4th November. We have already been in touch to inform the Diocese that we have church and school members who have expressed an interest in going forward for Confirmation.
The Diocese have requested that we let them have the names of the Candidates well in advance of this date. If you know of anyone of anyone who would like to be Confirmed this year, whether adult or school age, can you please let us know.
Confirmation Classes will start in September and, once we know details of those interested, we can organise dates and times.
If you think that this is something you would like to consider for yourself, please contact our Parish Secretary, who will give you more details about the process and when the next preparatory sessions will be taking place. You can do this by completing the contact form below.
