Southport Area Schools Worker Trust
A Scripture Union Local Mission Partner working in partnership with the Pais Movement, and set up in 1999 by churches and Christians in Southport and Formby, who wanted to serve their local schools. For over a decade, the majority of schools across Southport, Formby and surrounding areas have benefitted through assemblies, lessons, presentations and extra -curricular clubs and activities. These have been delivered by our employed schools worker, a team of local church volunteers, a Pais Project team of gap year apprentices, and most recently a part time sports ministry leader. Our aim is to see this work continue, grow and develop through working in partnership with local schools and local churches, in order to see that great impact across Southport in the years to come, which is very much in our hearts and prayers.
This is the most important way in which you can serve the schools of the area. We hope that you join with us in this, please sign up for our newsletter so that you can be informed about what is going on and the prayer needs there are. We would also love you to join us at our regular prayer meetings each term.
The work that we do is funded by the generous giving of individuals and Churches. Money goes towards paying our worker s, buying resources for the presentations, admin costs, et. We need around £ 35,000 per year to fulfil our vision. In order to do this we need to increase our annual income by around £ 7,000. With around 100 -200 people giving £6+ a month, we believe this is achievable. Could you help us?
If you believe you have something to offer to this ministry, or perhaps God is calling you to be more practically involved, please get in touch.
