North Meols Deanery
A Deanery is a sub-division of a Church of England Diocese. We at St John’s are part of the North Meols Deanery which is in turn part of the Liverpool Diocese. Representatives from each of the churches meets regularly at a meeting called a Deanery Synod. Here we discuss matters common to the churches in the area. No one church can do everything so we try to work together to provide a good range of activities across our area and to bring God’s word to the whole of Southport.
